Higher power density and efficiency
The Eaton MCU-ES Energy Saver DC-DC Converter has 400 % better power density than other existing Eaton modular converters have. Operating with peak 96 % efficiency, MCU-ES produces less waste energy than most other modern converters, and with potentially greater savings over older infrastructure. These features and ideal module size make the 2 kW modular converter perfect for powering your 5G remote radio units by ensuring constant voltage during times of battery discharge.
Intelligent and easy to use system
This modular converter features intelligent digital signal processing for enhanced control, producing peak efficiency up to 96 % for typical operating loads, while also maintaining a very high minimum operating efficiency of 95 to 96 %, over a very wide range of loads. In addition, MCU-ES is fully compatible with existing Eaton DC systems, and it is one of the easiest converters to use, with a simple plug-and-go insertion. The converter operates under a wide range of DC power conditions and in temperatures at up to 70°C (158°F).
